By Mara Boone

Nobody wants to look bad so people strive to be up to date with fashion trends. The Turban has been among those dressing modes that are slowly emerging in the fashion industry today. Some are used as head gears while others are used to cover the entire body. With time, this dressing mode is being improved to incorporate new aspects and make it look fashionable and smart on its wearers.

This head caps are passed from one generation to another. This is the fashion to these religions. The garment originated from one of their religious prophet who lived in ancient times and it has been made a law that every person should cover their head especially when worshiping from children to adult. Any person does not follow that is considered to have committed a huge religious offense.

There are common ways which are used to tie it around the head. This is taught to kids to make them know of how to remain descent at all times. It can be taught by parents and also the people who sell the garment. Learning to tie the garment does not take a long time because the process is very easy to understand. After you tie, you can remain for the whole day without tying again because the garment settles very well on the head when you tie properly.

Tying can be a difficult task to first timers and users. But that should not be a worry because the elders are there to demonstrate and those who find it difficult. You will find garment of different colors all having different meanings in the society. There are garments that are only worn by the teacher of the law and are different from all others.

Different colors symbolize different ceremonies. Some colors symbolize peace while others are only worn during funerals. Some colors are only worn by people of a certain class in that community like the elderly and the rich too. Therefore, wear a color depending on the occasion in question.

The materials that are used are also different. Commonly used materials are cotton, wool and silk. These materials are not very expensive and hence can be afforded by even the common middle and lower class people. These materials are useful for various seasons. The wool is heavy and provides a lot of warmth when worn. That material will be good for use during the cold season.

Wool is heavy and people tend to wear it during cold seasons to get warmth. Silk and cotton is not that heavy. Therefore, they can be worn during hot weather because they do not over heat the body. Therefore, consider the material.

Most of the Muslim communities experience internal wars and conflicts with other nations. This however is not a good reason to judge that all those who wear the Turban are terrorists. This has been common in many places where Muslims are suspected of crimes whenever it happens.
