I have a lot of love for my country, and I try to make sure that I buy products made in the United States when possible, and with all the problems with toys made out of the country, I make a particular effort to buy American made kid products whenever I can. For a long time, of course, I was unaware that this could be done without looking at the bottom of each toy, or on the tag of each piece of clothing in order to find out where they were made.
I did my best to do this every time I went shopping, but it was so time consuming and overwhelming, that I eventually gave it up and just felt rather guilty about it. I didn't think there was anything I could do about this problem, until one day when I was talking with a neighbor about some new toys made in Asia that used lead, and was a big danger to our children.
The friend with whom I was discussing this agreed with me that American made kid products are always better as they are held to strict standards and support the national economy. She then told me that she had come upon an awesome website that sold products that were made in the U.S. that were ideal for all kids and were made with high quality.
I was very excited about this information and I told her so, and asked her where I could find the website since my son's birthday was coming up and I wanted to get him something nice. She was more than happy to write down the web address for me, so I went home and hopped on my computer to try to find out more about these American made toys and see if I could find a good present for my son.
As I looked through their website, I loved everything that I saw, and was impressed with the wide variety of items available, and before I knew it my virtual shopping cart was loaded with all the things I felt I couldn't pass up. When I finished going through the toys that were offered through this website, I looked at my virtual shopping cart and realized that I had put several dozen toys, way more than I needed, in there. It was hard, but I managed to narrow down the selection to a more sensible amount, and then I placed my order and arranged for them to be delivered to my home. My kid loved every one of the toys, and it made me feel like the parent of the decade!
