How To Make Your Car Look Grand With The Use Of An Airbrush

By Lila Bryant

Creativity is manifested is lots of different ways. Perhaps, not all people have more or less the same view point on what makes something appear creative and what is just plain messy. One can unleash his creativity in a lot of ways. One can just pull out his pencils and make magic happen on a page of blank paper. One can create life like sculptures with a knife. One can mix and match colors to create wonderful paintings armed only with airbrush Orlando and some paints.

These people are painters, and they do painting for either a source of income of just for fun. Painting is still a very broad field, so these artworks are further subdivided into groups according to medium used in the creation of masterpieces. A medium is the tool used to produce a certain art.

A medium is the substance used to finish a particular work of art. There is a whole world out there that is so full of different mediums, but the most popular is the used of oil based pigmentation. To make this work, natural dry pigments were mixed with linseed oil. This was then boiled with pine or frankincense resins in order to achieve that glossy, well lighted look.

The most acknowledged painting medium is constituted with oil. Oil paintings are perhaps the most expensive ones in the world of art, as they are so tricky to make. To be able to have oil paints, artists of the older times had to boil linseed oil with frankincense or pine resin before mixing in the coloring pigments. They took forever to dry up, but the glossy effect they produce is absolutely stunning.

Pastel sticks are made by combining the same color pigments with a binder that has low saturation and neutral hue. This makes pastel art slightly paler than all the others. Watercolor, on the other hand, has been used in even the earliest years of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese art. Admittedly, though, these Asian artists used the water soluble medium in monochrome brown and black, mainly for calligraphy.

Acrylic mediums are often used when the artwork has to be completed in limited time. This is because these types of paints dry up faster than all the others. When used in a canvas, the acrylic is first diluted in water. This results in a glossy and water resistant quality. Experts on the acrylic medium can even produce an effect that is almost similar to a costly oil painting.

The modern generation saw the rise of street art, such as the graffiti and the three dimensional type which succeeds in fooling the human vision with optical illusions. This was then seen as vandalism, and graffiti artists were usually caught by the police. But now, more and more people are opening up to the idea of street art and some paint manufacturers even make special spray paints for the very same reason.

In the same manner as spray painting, airbrushes also employ the same mechanism, although they are made on the body of automobiles rather than walls. If you want to give your ride a brand new look, you can do that by airbrushing. To do this, you will need topcoats of either acrylic or enamel paint, some newspapers, sandpapers, paint thinners, safety equipment, and spray gun or air brush.

First you will have to wash your car and clean it thoroughly. After drying, you can sand the surface to bare metal. Once done, you will have to wipe the body with clean cloth and apply some thinner. You may start coloring in the body once the thinner has completely dried off. Though it may take some time to complete the task, you will be able to save a lot. The heady feeling of self satisfaction comes as a bonus.
