Birthday Parties For Boys

By Freddy McCandless

If your little one is about to celebrate another birthday, here are some party ideas to help you out. So read on and get the party planning launched.

Super Hero Party

Tiny tykes always have a super hero that they idolize, whether it is Superman, Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, etc. Planning a birthday party around that is much easier than saving the world. As soon as you have your kid's best-loved hero, all you have to do is get supplies with that them-party hats, paper plates, cups, and and possibly the cake too. Then you can incorporate the colors of that superhero with the balloons, napkins, and table cloth. So if your kid is a huge Superman fan, think red and blue.

Changing party games to fit into the whole super hero theme is yet another thing you can do. Like instead of hot potato, paint it green and make it pass the Kryptonite. Turn the pinata into a baddie and have the little ones go boom, pow, and bang crazy on it. Heros and villains take the place of cops and robbers.

Cowboy themed party

Yippee kaye! Bring the wild west to life right at your back yard by giving your boy a cowboy party. Instead of your very common party hats, give out cowboy hats. Use checked table cloths to give it that western feeling. Set out a couple bales of hay. Find paper plates and plastic cups with deputy stars on them. Get a hold of some cactus cut outs to run around your fence, mainly because the real ones can hurt small kids. However, if you really want to wow your kiddo, rent a horse- it is awesome to add to the whole western look plus the kiddies will have fun taking turns riding it.

Pin the mustache on the criminal instead of pin the tail on the donkey with a wanted poster with your son's face on it. You can also set up some empty cans and allow the children knock them down with squirt guns. Musical chairs can also go western with musical horses. Have a number of stick horses for them to grab and straddle when the music dies.

Pirate Themed Party

Your little pirate will be jumping with excitement. Pirate parties are definite to make titanic waves. The colors fo balloons that go with this theme ideally are black, gold, and purple. Make the gift table a treasure chest where your bundle of joy can store his loot. You can make one out of a big appliance box. For the napkins you can use bandanas, hand out pirate hats, and in case you can't come across any pirate themed cups and plates, plain black will do. Instead of a birthday banner, raise up a pirate flag with your kid's picture on it. Gold chocolate coins in the goodie bags add a nice touch.

You can even make the games go well with this theme perfectly, for example by making capture the flag capture the pirate flag. You can make use of bobbing for apples just the way it is.

With these birthday parties for boys, you are sure to host one heck of a party that your tot will definitely enjoy and remember.
