A Couple Of Basic Guitar Songs To Learn For Any Beginner

By Frank Morris

Anyone looking to start to learn the guitar should pick out a few simple songs to get going with. If you start out with easy guitar songs to learn then you will provide yourself with all of the basics that you will need, while at the same time helping to build up your confidence.

Anyone who thinks learning the guitar is extremely difficult should think again. It really isn't that hard and one of the best ways to learn quickly is actually to start by learning some basic songs, rather than by learning all of the different chords and notes.

There are lots of different songs out there that are both well-known, very popular, and very easy to learn and perform. These songs will provide you and anyone listening to you with a great deal of entertainment and they shouldn't be too difficult for you to learn them. At the same time anyone listening to you play will not really be aware of how easy they are, unless they already have experience playing the guitar on their own.

So what type of songs should you start off with? Well, you might want to start off by learning songs by Green Day. Pretty much every Green Day song is fairly uncomplicated and yet they are all well-known and sound great when performed properly. 'Time of your life' is certainly a great option for beginners and should be one of your starting tracks.

Anyone who enjoys a bit of older classic music may want to turn to the Beatles. Again, many of the different songs by the Beatles are relatively simple to perform and learn and while some of them will require a little bit more experience, others can easily be picked up by any beginner. One of the most obvious options is 'help'.

Another simple song to pick up is 'about a girl' by Nirvana. The basic verse is purely a progression of G and A chords played in an open position. The chorus is slightly more complicated than the verse, but once you have picked up on this particular part of the song it shouldn't be difficult to learn the rest.

On the day, any song that you start off with needs to actually engage you. It is important for you to consider genres of music that you actually enjoy and and specific songs that might be appropriate within them.
